Slovenia-based Interenergo, part of Austria's Kelag Group, has made significant strides in renewable energy within the Southeast European region, particularly in Croatia's municipality of Jasenice.

The company has successfully transformed a degraded area into a renewable energy hub, featuring its first wind farm and ground-based solar power plant in Croatia.

The Jasenice wind farm, equipped with advanced storm control systems, and the Bukovica solar plant, among the country's largest, collectively power over 12,500 households while reducing CO2 emissions by 14,300 tonnes annually.

This initiative not only revitalizes local economies but also marks a pivotal step in Croatia's energy transition, with plans for further expansion. Interenergo's commitment to sustainable energy solutions underscores its role as a key player in the region's ecological and economic development.
