Turkey's Ankara Solar Launches Walkable PV Flooring for Global Markets

Ankara Solar Energy, a Turkish module manufacturer, has introduced its PV Floor brand, featuring walkable solar panels designed for residential and commercial use. The PV Floor products, available in 30 W (PVF-08-30W) and 120 W (PVF-32-120W) models, are equipped with anti-slip glass and are now being marketed in Europe and the United States. Initially launched in Turkey and Greece in 2022, these panels are suitable for various applications, including shopping centers, driveways, parking areas, terraces, decks, and pedestrian zones.

The panels offer efficiencies of 17% and 17.84%, respectively, and come with an 8-year product warranty and a 10-year linear performance warranty. The PV Floor system includes polypropylene pedestals that support up to 1000 kg and adjustable heights ranging from 50 mm to 260 mm. The panels have a maximum system voltage of 1,000 V and require no additional steel or aluminum structures.

Ankara Solar's spokesperson highlighted that the return on investment for a 1 kW system in Spain or Greece is typically 4 to 5 years. The company, which has been producing crystalline silicon solar panels since 2013 with an annual capacity of 750 MW, exports to 40 countries. The lead time for bulk orders is typically 3 to 6 weeks.
