Tesla Energy Storage to Build €90M Green Factory in Brăila, Romania, Boosting Regional Industrial Development
Tesla Energy Storage, a Czech company specializing in battery production and energy storage systems and part of the Tesla Group, has officially announced plans to construct a factory in Brăila city. This significant investment of over €90 million marks a crucial step for the industrial development of the region and Romania's economy. Brăila's mayor, Marian Dragomir, confirms the factory will be entirely green, devoid of chemical processes, producing electric energy storage batteries and systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use, including batteries for electric vehicles. The factory is set to initially employ around 200 individuals, with prospects of tripling the workforce in the future. Mayor Dragomir hailed the investment as bringing cutting-edge technology to the area and providing employment opportunities in the industry of the future.
