R.Power Energizes 10-MWp Solar Farm in Poland, Aims for 1 GWp by 2025

Polish independent power producer (IPP) R.Power SA has energized a 10-MWp solar farm in Lubaczow, in the Podkarpackie region of Poland, the company announced on Tuesday. This milestone is part of R.Power's broader strategy to achieve over 1 GWp of solar capacity by 2025.

The new Lubaczow solar farm spans 11 hectares (27.2 acres) and is equipped with more than 18,000 photovoltaic panels. R.Power expects the plant to generate approximately 11 GWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power around 4,400 households.

The Lubaczow project is a key component of R.Power’s plan to expand its IPP portfolio, following the recent commissioning of solar farms in Serta, Portugal, and Dramino, Poland.

"Our goal of exceeding 1 GWp by 2025 is on track," said R.Power's spokesperson. "The Lubaczow farm is a testament to our commitment to sustainable energy and our leadership in the renewable sector."

With this latest addition, R.Power continues to reinforce its position as a leading solar power producer in Europe, driving forward the transition to renewable energy and contributing to the region's energy security and sustainability.
