PPC Renewables to Add 140 MW Wind Power Plant in Romania
PPC Renewables announced the addition of a new wind power plant in Deleni commune, eastern Vaslui county, to its renewable energy portfolio. The plant, with an installed capacity of 140 MW, has reached the construction phase, according to the company’s press release.
The wind farm will feature 23 GE Vernova turbines, each with a capacity of 6.1 MW, and is scheduled to be connected to the grid by the end of 2025. The region's high wind potential is expected to yield an annual generation of approximately 370 GWh. The operation of the plant will reduce CO2 emissions by 215,000 tons annually and will provide enough energy to power approximately 62,000 households.
PPC Renewables currently operates over 700 MW of renewable energy capacity in Romania. With the completion of the Deleni project, the total installed capacity of renewable energy sources of the PPC Group in the country will reach around 850 MW.
