Lithuania Allocates EUR 54.89 Million to Boost Energy Efficiency in Industry
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Innovation (EIM) of Lithuania has announced plans to allocate EUR 54.89 million to enhance energy efficiency in industrial enterprises, aiming to reduce energy intensity and harmful gas emissions.
According to Acting Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė, this initiative aligns with Lithuania's commitment to combat climate change and meet European Union environmental standards.
Of the total funding, up to EUR 34.16 million will be directed to companies in the Capital Region, while EUR 20.73 million will be available for enterprises in the Central and Western Lithuania regions.
EIM Chancellor Iveta Paludnevičiūtė highlighted that the funds would enable industrial companies to invest in environmentally friendly equipment, implement advanced technological solutions, and modernize existing infrastructure.
The maximum funding per project is capped at EUR 1.5 million, and applications can be submitted to the Innovation Agency until April 2, 2025.
The measure is financed through the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund, reinforcing Lithuania's drive towards a greener economy.
