Israeli Enlight Completes 94MW Pupin Wind Farm in Serbia
The construction of the Pupin wind farm in Kovačica, Serbia, with an installed capacity of 94MW comprising 16 wind turbines, has been completed and entered trial operation, the Renewable Energy Sources Association of Serbia announced today.
Developed by Israeli company Enlight Renewable Energy, the Pupin wind farm is an extension of the existing Kovačica wind farm. It has commenced production and delivery of electricity to the Serbian Electric Power Company.
A facility tour will be held tomorrow, attended by Israeli Ambassador Avivit Bar-Ilan, EBRD Executive Director for Central and Southeastern Europe Charlotte Ruhe, representatives from Serbia's Ministry of Mining and Energy, and Enlight Renewable Energy.
The Pupin wind farm, a winner in last year’s auctions, was constructed in a short timeframe, demonstrating effective project execution. The initiative marks a significant step in advancing Serbia's renewable energy infrastructure, as reported by Tanjug.
