Israel to deploy 250 MW of floating solar, agrivoltaics
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has approved four solar energy plants in the southern part of the country, specifically in the Arava region of the Negev Desert. These plants aim to supply at least 250 MW of energy and will be constructed in different locations with various features like floating PV panels, ground-mounted PV, storage solutions, and agrivoltaics installations. The projects will contribute to the government's targets for electricity production through renewable energies without the need for additional overhead transmission systems.
