European Energy Secures EUR 33.3 Million Financing for 70 MW Solar Projects in Poland
Danish renewables developer European Energy A/S has secured EUR 33.3 million (USD 36.7 million) in financing from Polish lender mBank for the construction of two solar farms in Poland with a combined capacity of 70 MW.
The financing will support the development of the 16-MW Lobez array in West Pomerania and the 54.2-MW Debnica Kaszubska facility in Pomerania. Both projects are currently under construction and are scheduled for completion in the final quarter of 2024. Once operational, the two solar farms are expected to generate 67 GWh of electricity annually, contributing to European Energy’s renewable energy capacity in Poland, which will reach 200 MW.
"Having an agreement with mBank allows us to secure these two new solar farms in Poland and will play a crucial role in the renewable energy buildout in Poland,” said Olga Sypula, European Energy’s country manager in Poland. The completion of these projects marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion in the Polish renewable energy market.
