Europe Records 24 PPA Deals for 1.1 GW of Solar in February

In February, Europe saw a surge in solar power purchase agreements (PPAs), totaling 1.1 GW across 24 deals. Spain led in volume, while Germany had the most agreements. Solar accounted for the majority of agreements, with onshore and offshore wind also making significant contributions. Despite this growth, electricity market prices remained low, reflecting the oversupply and low demand. Notable deals included Norwegian company Statkraft's PPAs in Italy and Poland and a PPA signed by Salzgitter Flachstahl in Germany.
