Energa Group Expands Renewable Energy Portfolio with New 39.9 MW Photovoltaic Farm
The Energa Group continues to intensively expand its renewable energy portfolio, marking a significant step with the addition of the PV Łosienice farm. This photovoltaic project, located in the Kościerzyna commune of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, has an installed capacity of 39.9 MW. Energa Green Development (EGD), a subsidiary of Energa, has fully taken over the project, which is set to enhance the group’s renewable energy potential.
The Łosienice PV farm will feature over 64.5 thousand photovoltaic panels and 95 inverters across an area of 43 hectares. Once operational, the farm is expected to produce enough energy to power nearly 20,000 households annually. The general contractor for the construction is Electrum Concreo, with the project’s completion and occupancy permit anticipated by the end of 2025.
Sławomir Staszak, President of Energa SA, emphasized the group's commitment to energy transformation, noting that EGD’s portfolio currently includes nearly 600 MW of RES capacity. In addition to the Łosienice farm, Energa is implementing other RES projects, including PV Kotla (130 MW) in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and PV Mitra (65 MW) in Greater Poland. The group’s installed photovoltaic capacity now stands at 125 MW, which accounts for 19% of its total renewable energy capacity, powering approximately 62,500 households annually.
This investment underscores Energa Group’s strategic focus on expanding its renewable energy assets and supporting Poland’s green energy transition.
