EIB Funds €105M for Lithuanian Hydro Plant Expansion to Support 100% Renewables Goal by 2030

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing €105 million to Ignitis Group for the installation of a fifth unit at the Kruonis Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant in Lithuania, aiming to boost its capacity to 1,010 MW by 2026 and support Lithuania's goal of 100% renewable electricity by 2030 while enhancing grid flexibility and green generation capacity.
