Czech Tesla Group to Invest Over 450 Million Lei in New Factory in Brăila, Romania

Czech Tesla Group has announced an investment of over 450 million lei (approx. $100 million) to build a new factory in Brăila, Romania. The facility, which will be operational within the next 12 months, is expected to create numerous job opportunities as the company has already begun the recruitment process.

The factory in Brăila will focus on producing advanced electronic components and energy storage solutions, marking a significant expansion of Tesla Group’s operations in Eastern Europe. The new plant is part of the company's strategic plan to increase its production capacity and meet the growing demand for innovative energy solutions in the region.

Tesla Group's investment in Romania underscores the country's attractiveness as a destination for foreign direct investment in the high-tech manufacturing sector. "This project will not only boost local employment but also enhance Romania’s position in the European technology landscape," said CEO Jan Novak.

The Romanian government has welcomed the investment, highlighting the benefits of increased economic activity and technological advancement. Minister of Economy Florin Spătaru praised the initiative, noting that it aligns with Romania’s goals of industrial modernization and economic growth.
