ČEZ Expands EV Charging Network to 754 Stands in Czech Republic
ČEZ has expanded its network of public charging stands in the Czech Republic from 660 to 754 this year, aiming to support the rapid growth of e-mobility. The country saw the addition of over 5,000 pure battery electric vehicles (EVs) in the first half of 2024, bringing the total number of EVs on Czech roads to nearly 30,000.
The company currently offers 66 ultra-fast charging stands and plans to increase this to over 100 by year-end. Pavel Cyrani, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of ČEZ, highlighted the company’s efforts, stating, “We are building new stations, increasing rack capacity, and improving downstream services for customers. After last year’s record 144 new stations, we are on track to surpass 180 racks commissioned this year by mid-year.”
ČEZ’s network allows drivers to recharge quickly, thanks to the high output of its stations. The combination of large hubs and ultra-fast stations ensures minimal wait times for drivers, allowing immediate and rapid recharging. This expansion aligns with ČEZ’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure to meet the growing demand for EVs in the Czech Republic.
