BYD Expands Partner Program for Energy Storage Solutions, Hosts Conference in November 2024
BYD Co. Ltd. has expanded its partner program for BYD Energy Storage solutions, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and market leadership. This included a partner conference held at BYD headquarters in November 2024, where attendees shared experiences, engaged with BYD’s technical team, and previewed new products and features.
“BYD has been investing continuously into R&D and production facilities to ensure energy storage solutions are at the forefront of innovation, produced with the highest safety standards, and cost-efficient,” said Yin Xiaoqiang, GM of BYD Energy Storage. He stressed the importance of dialogue with partners and customers, adding, “Regular meetings with partners from the distribution and installation sector are part of our program. We value their feedback to advance solutions addressing current and future demands in renewable energy storage.”
The conference aimed to gather insights on market challenges partners face and how BYD’s solutions can help. Wholesalers and installers noted customer hesitancy to invest in PV technology amid a market downturn but confirmed that the BYD BatteryBox series has been key in attracting customers as PV and energy storage become essential.
Trends such as bidirectional charging and dynamic electricity pricing were highlighted, with attendees citing the high charging power of the BYD BatteryBox as a major advantage.
Attendees also received a preview of new products in BYD’s portfolio and toured BYD’s advanced production facilities, including the Nanning industrial park. Operational since May 2023, this facility handles R&D and manufacturing of energy storage cells and systems, featuring a 55GWh production base.
This approach aims to bolster BYD’s market position and enhance collaboration with partners as they navigate the evolving energy landscape.
